          Today we are going to experience the technology behind RFID

          have you ever wondered why it is hard to steal things from any departmental store this is because of RFID

RFID stands for radio frequency identification and we used this piece of technology in many ways such as access controls books tracking tollgate systems and it is even used to detect the shoplifters

This system consists of transponder and tranciever

transceiver is the active component and consists of radiofrequency module control unit and antenna coil this coil generate high frequency electromagnetic field while the passive component transponder has an antenna and a microchip

when the transponder gets near to the electromagnetic field generated by the transceiver voltage is generated through induction and this voltage serves as the power for the microchip

Now this powered tag can extract the message from the reader and for sending a message back to it uses a technique called load manipulation

Load manipulation works by switching on and off loads at antenna, the tag will affect the power consumption of the receiver thus creating a voltage drop across it this voltage drop is transferred in the form of zeros and ones and this is how a tag verifies it id
