Having a Peek on USB technologies

Hello Guys! Welcome to our world of Awesomeness !! Technology!! I am going to post one fascinating topic related to science and technology every week feel free to question me anything about technology. Now without any further delay Lets Roll inside!!!!

Today lets talk about one of the most common pieces of technology which everyone uses but has a wrong understanding about it So NO delays now.. Let's talk about USB I bet many people think this is a device but it is actually a protocol and hence its name universal serial protocol

It has may iterations or generations let us talk about some of them like micro USB USB type a USB type b USB 3.0 and the latest type c

Basically, a USB is an Asynchronous serial protocol i.e no dedicated clock line

USB type A has 4 pins which are 1. Vcc 2.Gnd 3.Data lines D+ and D- and type b too has the same pins but in a different structure

Now MICO USB has 5 pins which are 1.Vcc 2.Gnd 3.D+ 4.D- 5. ID
Here ID pin is for identification which basically means if the device is in transfer mode or in charging mode
USB type C is the latest and the greatest till now it has a whopping 24 pins which are
1.4 GND pins
2.4 Vbus pins
3.2 Secondary bus pins
4. 2 CC pins which are for USB power delivery
5. 8 high-speed USB 3.1 pins which are TX1+- TX2+- RX1+- RX2+-
6. 4 USB 2.0 pins which are D+ D- D+ D-

And by seeing it we can easily say that this USB type c is reversible hence no more worries to charge anything or even transfer anything..(it should be data..)
