Wifi - wireless federation is a communication technology which involves two-way communication between communicator and receiver we all know that the electromagnetic waves radio and microwaves are used in this technology to communicate wirelessly
Every one of us knows that computers only understand 0's and 1's and hence we all need to communicate in the binary language by converting the information into 0's and 1's
If we consider the ripples created on the water due to stones thrown at it the waves created in the water propagate to all the directions, In the same way, the waves which are resulting in communication are spread across leading to transfer of information efficiently
The wifi networks are encrypted because of which we can feel safe .as we all know the generations in the mobile networks like 3g, 4g and now 5g likewise we have also developed generations in wifi to improve quality of communication like 802.11a,802.11b,802.11c,802.11ac,802.11d and in these generations we have taken different bands energies and frequencies . we are using dual-band wifi with dual frequencies of 2.4ghz and 5ghz
With the help of 2.4 GHz band, we can get more wavelength i.e more range but with a slower speed and with the help of 5 GHz band we can get faster speeds but with shorter ranges hence the combination of the two is being used to get the maximum benefits
